The Grand Lodge of Colorado has several requirements to be made a Mason.  Below simple explanations of these requirements.  For more detailed information please don't hesitate to contact us.

Don't be shy!  If you have any questions at all we would like to speak to you!  Please email us here.

  • You must be a man 18 years of age or older.

Every Candidate for membership must be a legal adult.

  • You must believe in the existence of a living god.

In other words; no atheists allowed.  We welcome Buddhists, Muslims, Christians, Jewish, Hindus... I could go on and on obviously.  The point is a candidate must have a true belief in one everlasting living God and can not be an atheist.

  • You must be of good moral character.

Masonry makes good men better.  We do not, however, make bad men good.  If you are a good man, of good moral character, and have greatness in you... we would love to have you!

  • You must be vouched for by a member of the fraternity.

If you do not know a member of Albert Pike Lodge and subsequently have no member to vouch for you that is OK!  Many of us would be happy to get to know over a specified amount of time and then vouch for you if you are worthy.

  • You must reside in the state of Colorado.

You must have been a citizen of Colorado for mo less than six months prior to petitioning to become a member.

  • You must submit an application and pay the necessary fees.

You must fill out a petition which you can download here.  The petition must be accompanied by the $100 petition fee.  Once you become a Master Mason you be required to pay yearly dues.  (Dues are listed on our How to Join page)  If you have questions about the petition please contact us!
