"...so, what do you do
                  other than
set in a
       meeting
every couple of
                         weeks?
"

Great question!
We do much, much more!  But one of our greatest principles is our dedication to charity!  Masons around the world have, for centuries, dedicated their lives to charitable causes.  From local soup kitchens and scholarship programs to the many Shriner's Hospitals for Children, Scottish Rite Learning Centers, and Schizophrenia Research Centers  across the world, Charity is one of Freemasonry's most valued precepts!

At Albert Pike Lodge No. 117 we support local scholarships along with donating funds to worthy causes that arise annually, but, we also donate our time.  Monthly we dedicate our time along with our brethren, wives, and children to give back to our community.

November 2009

We have an opportunity through Volunteers of America to hand out Thanksgiving food baskets to the homeless on Monday November 23d (the week of Thanksgiving).   The time will be from 9-12 a.m. at the Homeless Shelter at 2877 Lawrence Street, Denver.  Friends and Family are welcome to participate.  We need about 12 people.  If more than 12 are interested, we may have an opportunity to work one of the other shifts that day too.  Please contact Bro. Dan McCune as soon as possible if you'd like to  participate.
